Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class battleship WARSPITE , one of Britain's most decorated ships in the 20 th century, had a long and distinguished career in two world wars. The waterline diorama shows the 655.8' battleship ca 1936 at a harbor mooring buoy, with some ship's boats and a tender along both sides. The model is authentically painted per known research, with a hull constructed of wooden waterline lifts with superstructure built-up of brass and wood. All deck gear, boats, armament and fittings are accurate to her period configuration and fabricated from brass, copper, Britannia, wire and wood. Hull has been hollowed out to accommodate two internal electric lights. Mounted in a custom fitted mahogany display with glazed cover trimmed in brass and two brass engraved name plaques.
