This fine-lined, short raised quarterdeck steam coaster was built in 1892 for the proprietors of the Welsh Dinorwic Quarries to carry slates to depots in ports around the Irish Sea, including Newry, Preston, Runcorn and Liverpool, where she would discharge into ocean-going steamers. She was capable of 9.5 knots, measured 95.0 x 18.6 x 7.6 feet and her weight was 126 tons gross.
