This full motion scene shows off this successful Gloucester fishing schooner designed by Thomas F. McManus, and built by Arthur D. Story at Essex, MA in 1910. The two-masted schooner is presented under full sail including its Fisherman's staysail, and on its portside it shows her seine boat & net, as well as a Gloucester dory skiff trailing off the stern. The model is constructed of solid wood, which has then been planked-over, and includes laid decking, with all appropriate deck furniture, gear, and fittings. The model is authentically painted per her 1910 era configuration. Rigging is of painted copper wire, sails are of treated and painted tissue, with a wooden sculpted sea being hand carved and painted with artists oils. The case is constructed of English black walnut veneer with matching trim on the cover, and brass engraved plaques.
