80-gun French ship of the Line, as she may have looked in Newport, Rhode Island when Washington, Rochambeau, Lafayette, etc., met on board in March 1781. She participated in the Battle of Cape Henry as part of a joint operation with the Continental Army to oppose the British army of Benedict Arnold.

The model is solid lift hull, planked-over hull above the waterline, with built-up bulwarks, laid decks, fully copper sheathed with individual copper plates; includes all appropriate deck gear, armament and fittings; appropriately rigged showing all essential standing rigging and all running rigging per French Naval practice.
