The model is constructed in the customary method with a wood core and then is planked-over with bone and includes baleen gunport bands all pin fastened. The decking has a similar presentation all of bone. The model shows all appropriate deck gear and furniture per a vessel of this size, e.g., hatches, capstans, etc., and has bone masts, spars (baleen stun’sails yards) and blocks. It is rigged with most all typical standing and running lines of natural linen threads per the period practice. This model has retractable cannons on its main gun decks operated from two stern toggles. The model exhibits delicate carvings and decorative details, in particular on the stern shows a ‘trophy-of-arms’ in the center and adjacent that English rose stems balance each side of the fashion piece. The quarter galleries are also detailed and include windows with gold foil mullions. At the bow nicely decorated trailboards lead to a full-figurehead depicting a classical warrior and it has a polychrome finish over bone. Custom fitted display case with the baseboard and glazed cover trim in matching rosewood, baseboard has a savoy green leather top, with hand engraved sterling silver plaques.
