Royal Stewart Yacht C. 1682

Elegant British royal yacht of 1682 under the reign of Charles II. This beautiful ketch rigged vessel has wonderful elements of decorative work including wreaths outboard surrounding the 12 gunports, a small eagle figurehead, stern taffrail with decorative imagery and three lanterns with simulated glass. On deck it shows 12 guns (six port and starboard) three hatches, windlass, galley stack and aft of the main mast a raised coppola style skylight for the royal quarters below.
The vessel is on a starboard tack with her main sail semi furled. Has wood carved and sculpted water providing a moderate sea condition all of which has been painted with coats of artists oils, providing a sense of depth.

Stained Lancewood veneer base, with glazed cover in matching wood, includes one brass engraved plaque.
