Baltimore Clipper circa 1812, privateer, under full sail. An American classic hull design which proved so successful that many were sold to the French. Lynx was captured by the British in 1813, and renamed Musquidobit. Solid hull construction, planked over & presented waterline style under full sail, authentically topsail schooner rig, with twisted copper wire appropriately painted, treated and painted tissues sails with convincing shape and configuration. Include accurate deck gear, armament, furniture and fittings and set in a wood hand-carved and painted sea, in a custom glazed case of burl lancewood veneer, two engraved brass name plates.
