Typical New England fishing and pilot craft built in the late 18th and 19th centuries, weatherly "pinkies" like Dove (built in Nova Scotia, 1875) were distinguished by a high narrow stern and bluff apple bow. Model is built-up plank-on-frame of naturalfinish boxwood and walnut, with frames and planking treenail fastened. Authentically rigged and fitted-out.
