Nader Taheri

Nader Taheri (1962 - ): Professional model maker Nader Taheri was self-taught, primarily by building custom scale model cars and radio controlled speedboats. As a young man he grew up in Iran, where his father was a successful attorney. Mr. Taheri moved to Boston in 2000, where working for a professional architect and a model engineering company furthered his skills at modeling. His innate artistic ability, whether using a state-of-the-art airbrush or more traditional artist’s methods and materials, is evident in his painting, sculpture and multi-media art projects. His museum or private conservation work, under the auspices of the Gallery, includes the Hart Nautical Museum at MIT, the Peabody Essex Museum of Salem, Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum, the Maryland Historical Society, the Farnsworth Museum, Castle Island Association, American Yacht Club, and the Newport Reading Room.
