JOSEPH
PAUL URANKER (1950-
) Originally from
a small Pennsylvania
mining town, “J.
P.” received
his BA in art education
from Carlow College
in 1974 and his
MBA from Carnegie
Mellon in 1986 where
he also worked from
1978-1991, restoring
the University’s
unique art and architecture.
Combining his business
and artistic talents,
he and his wife
moved to Massachusetts
and set up a woodcarving
and custom sign
making shop. He
produces dovetailed
sea chests, blanket
chests, ditty chests
and boxes, and as
his talent grew,
he began carving
eagles. We are pleased
to offer these beautiful
hand carved and
gold leafed eagles.
