models appreciate in value.
Although a ship model appraisal
and/or evaluation is a subjective
opinion, it can be an educated
one. At the Gallery, we realize the importance of having accurate, up-to-date
values on models for the purposes of insurance, donations, etc., and our policy
is to establish a value that reflects both the current replacement cost and
current market value. As a result of our continual involvement in the construction
of ship models, our attention to marketing trends, and active membership in
the International Society of Appraisers , the Gallery can provide an appraisal
based on knowledge rather than presumption. If logistics or geographic location
do not permit a first-hand appraisal, we can derive an approximate value through
the use of photographs and our appraisal questionnaire. |
